If you have allergies or food intolerances, chances are you’ve become an expert at working around them. You know which restaurants are safe, which labels to read, which seasons to dread. You’ve probably tried antihistamines, elimination diets, and more supplements than you can count. But what if instead of managing your allergies, you could actually address them? NAET allergy treatment — Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique — is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that works to desensitise your body to the things it’s reacting to. And for a lot of people, it changes everything.

NAET combines principles from acupressure, kinesiology, and Chinese medicine to identify and clear allergic responses. During a session, Rachel uses muscle response testing to identify what your body is reacting to. A gentle acupressure treatment is then applied while you’re in contact with the allergen, with the goal of reprogramming your nervous system’s response to that substance.

It sounds simple — and in practice, it often is. Most people notice a shift within a few sessions.

How was NAET® developed?

NAET® was developed by Doctor Devi S. Nambudripad, an American acupuncturist, chiropractor and kinesiologist, while treating her own severe allergic symptoms that she had suffered since her birth in Southern India. Today Doctor Nambudripad has trained more than 9000 medical practitioners from all over the world, including acupuncturists, chiropractors, allopathic medical doctors, dentists, osteopaths and veterinary doctors.

Why choose NAET allergy treatment and QRA over conventional treatments?

An allergic reaction is simply an inappropriate response by the immune system to substances such as foods, medications, chemicals, moulds, bites, pollens and dust.

Currently conventional medicine uses several methods for diagnosing allergies. These allergies are then treated with drug therapy, using things such as antihistamines or steroids to control the symptoms, or by putting the patient on a desensitisation programme. Unfortunately, these methods often don’t correct the underlying problem and can cause side effects too. NAET and QRA, on the other hand, are all-natural detection and treatment methods for allergy sufferers, and those with general health problems. They have the potential to find and treat the source of the problem; the reason behind your or your child’s inappropriate immune response.

Q: What is NAET and how does it treat allergies? NAET (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique) is a non-invasive therapy that uses acupressure and muscle response testing to identify and desensitise the body to allergens. It aims to reprogram the nervous system’s response to substances it’s reacting to.

Q: Is NAET suitable for food intolerances as well as allergies? Yes — NAET can be used for both true allergies and food intolerances, as well as reactions to environmental substances, chemicals, and even nutritional compounds.

Q: How many NAET sessions will I need? This varies depending on your individual situation. Some people notice significant improvement within a few sessions, while others with more complex or longstanding reactions may need more. Rachel will give you a realistic expectation at your first consultation.

Q: Is NAET safe for children? Yes — NAET is non-invasive, requires no needles or medication, and is suitable for children as well as adults.

Q: Do I need to avoid anything after a NAET treatment? Yes — after each session you’ll need to avoid the treated substance for 25 hours to allow your nervous system time to integrate the change. Rachel will explain exactly what this means for each allergen treated.

Living around your allergies isn’t living fully — and you don’t have to keep doing it. NAET won’t be the right fit for everyone, but if you’ve tried the conventional route and still find yourself restricted, it’s absolutely worth exploring. Rachel works with adults and children across Auckland and takes the time to understand your full picture before recommending anything. Curious whether NAET could help you?
